One of the most recognisable buildings in the capital, the 'Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi' boasts an 18-degree tilt, making it an architectural masterpiece and owner of the Guinness title for the world\u2019s furthest leaning tower. This slick 189-room hotel could be mistaken for a modern art museum. Adjacent to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in the Capital Centre district, Andaz Capital Gate occupies floors 18 to 33 of the architecturally-designed building and is a 15-minute drive from the airport and 9 miles from the city\u2019s popular Corniche and Qasr Al Watan, the city\u2019s Presidential Palace. You can get to Dubai in 45 minutes.  Like its global Andaz counterparts, the rebranded Hyatt property has been designed with personalised style in mind. The 165-metre tall hotel is full of personality, luxury appeal and local flavour. The entrance is decked out with local artworks hung in gallery fashion, but it\u2019s not until you reach the 18th floor that the design\/art aesthetic really becomes obvious. A calligraphy-inspired floor projection welcomes guests to the living room-like lobby. The counter is dual purpose, acting as a casual coffee bar and the hotel check-in desk. As you\u2019d expect the obligatory hotel chandelier is standout, the installation complementing the plush designer furnishings and works by notable Arab artists like Mohammed Kazem, eL Seed and Wissam Shawkat. It\u2019s a cosy introduction to the rest of the hotel which continues the comfortably homely vibe.  Staff are attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Facilities-wise the terrace pool leads the way. Situated on the 19th floor, along the gravity wave of the building's curved exterior, the pool appears to float in the air and is the ideal spot for a leisurely dip or lazy day in the sun. The gym and spa are quality too.    The Rooms   Very comfortable. Of the 189 rooms, 22 of these are suites. While most are yet to be given the full Andaz refurb design treatment, each is spacious, with many of them offering floor-to-ceiling views of the Arabian Peninsula and the Emirati palaces below. My City Sea View room (the standard offering) may be the smallest of the four categories but it isn\u2019t lacking in space. The bedroom is of a good size and has a super comfortable king bed, sizeable desk and sitting area. The marble-laden bathroom features a statement tub that offers views of the coastline, an elaborate rain shower and separate loo. The restaurant has three open kitchens and a mostly mediterranean-inspired menu with signature dishes like\u00a0kunafa\u00a0and\u00a0fattoush. Breakfast is a reasonable affair with\u00a0\u00e0 la carte dishes like freshly baked waffles and pancakes available alongside buffet options such as hash browns, omelettes and fresh fruits and breads. The hotel\u2019s Andaz Lounge and pool bar serve drinks and snacks with the lounge offering complimentary wine to guests from 5pm-7pm, daily.     Photo Gallery"}
